Dr. Barbara Hess is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters, who share her passion for making healthy lifestyle choices. Dr. Hess graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1992 from National University in Illinois. She pursued a diploma in Rehabilitation of the Spine, in which she traveled to Charles University in the Czech Republic and Tuscany, Italy, from 1996 to 1998. Dr. Hess practiced in Rhode Island for 25 years before relocating to South Carolina in 2020.

Dr. Hess has worked in a multi-disciplinary clinic with physical therapists, orthopedists, and neurologists. She shared an office with a Harvard graduate neurosurgeon who respected the art of Chiropractic. Her patients ranged from families, pre-surgical to post-surgery spinal patients, and athletes.

She has received various honors and awards, such as the Trademark Woman of Distinction Honors Edition, Top Chiropractic Awards for Shop Rhode Island, the National Women's Chiropractic Award, and the Clinical Achievement Award.
